Tylose Glue

Q: : Hi Vicki (Central Coast branch member), can you give your recipe for tylose glue using vodka.
I have looked online and there are a number of different recipes - not sure what one is right.

A: It’s super easy, and I only make a small quantity at a time.

Quarter of a teaspoon of tylose powder
Two tablespoons of vodka

Mix until dissolved, then store in a suitable container
(I use a “nail polish bottle" purchased from Cake Decorating Store
It doesn’t need to be stored in the fridge and lasts without going rancid for ages,

rather than the couple of weeks that water based glue does

As with all tylose glue, be aware that it leaves shiny marks if you are not careful and petal dust
won’t adhere to it
